ITS–G-61-1-PUNTIUS-TERAZONAThe Sumatran Barb (Puntius tetrazona, Barbus tetrazonus or Barbus sumatranus) is also called the Tiger Barb or Striped Barb. In the Indonesian language the fish (which is native to Kalimantan and Sumatra) is called the Ikan Barbus.

Extremely beautiful, they are the most popular of all aquarium barbs. They need a large tank; otherwise, they will be seen gasping for air at the top of the water.
