ITS–Spain is planning to expand investment in Indonesia to explore marine tourism potential. It was conveyed by Spanish Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Isabel Maria Borrego Cortes, in a meeting with Arief Yahya, Indonesia Tourism Minister.
“Hopefully, we can sign a MOU soon. We are going to follow it up by making a call to all marine industries. We have cruise, yacht, marine constructor and port developer to facilitate ships and tour boats parking” told Isabel.
For your information, Arief Yahya visited Spain to learn tourism business strategies of the Matador Country that successfully gets 68 million tourists in a year. For that purpose, the Minister also planned to send lecturers and student of 4 tourism colleges affiliating to Tourism Ministry. Isabel Minister also responded positively to the plan, and explained the current focus of Spain is to improve the facilities at various tourist sites, connectivity, security, and convenience including for disabled or handicapped people.
