ITS–The Pisok Dance is a new creation based on the Minahasa tribe, North Sulawesi. The creation of this dance was inspired by the habitat of the Pisok (Swallow) which can be found everywhere in Minahasa. Dynamic, disciplined, and clean as is typical of the swallow, are the dominant features in each movement of this dance. The main philosophy of this dance is the need of working together and doing every thing for the best of the community.
This dance is visually performed at the harvest time for rice and is danced by several girls in odd numbers, one of who acts as the leader.
