ITS–G-115-bebek_3With  its long, oval-shaped black tail feathers, brown head  and white chest, the Common Pintail Duck measures roughly 55 centimetres. The females voice is characterised by its “kwak-kwak-kwak” sound.

Inhabiting the lakes, swamps, rivers and coastal areas, this duck’s diet mainly consists of seeds and insects. The Common Pintail Duck can be mainly found in Africa, Europe and Asia, migrating to South East Asia only during the winter.
