E-120-BATUBELAH_5ITS–According to a legend, Batu Ballah or Batu Betangkup (lit. split rock) is said to have swallowed an old woman, Mak Risah. She was a poor widow who lived in misery all her life and had two children. Their names were Long Ijun and her little brother Su Pisok who was always crying of hunger. One day Mak Risah went to the beach to collect fish eggs. It was her lucky day; she was able to collect many of the eggs.  She returned home with relief and started cooking.  Unfortunately, they almost ran out of firewood. So, before the cooking was done, she went out to collect more firewood and find spices. When she got home she found thatSu Pisok was no longer cyring. Her son had eaten all the fish eggs. There was nothing left. Mak Risah was so disappointed that she left home and went into the jungle. With her children at home alone, she stood on a rock, and it opened its top and swallowed the widow.
